The most anticipated game of Cricket in any given calendar year, India Vs Pakistan’s ICC CWC 2023 clash this year is in line for a change of Dates. Both of the teams will play their 3rd match of CWC on October 15th which clashes to the Holy day of Navratri, widely celebrated in the region of Gujarat where the high voltage match will get underway.
Before Pakistan agreed to travel to India for the World Cup, PCB were constantly asking the BCCI to move the match from Narendra Modi Stadium. Though the latest develoment has nothing to do with PCB’s wish but it has certainly become a possibility. Reports arised on Wednesday morning, stating the BCCI are wanting to avoid Navratri clash.

“We are mulling the options that we have and a decision will be taken soon. We have been told by the security agencies that a high-profile game like India vs Pakistan, for which thousands of travelling fans are expected to reach Ahmedabad, should be avoided since they will be stretched because of Navratri.” – a BCCI source said to Sportzcraazy.
The change seems inevitable and if it happens, plenty of ticket and hotel cancellations will take place and outrage among fans could also be in display. Many fans from India and around the world have booked tickets to watch the high octane clash. BCCI secretary, Jay Shah has even called upon for a meeting on July 27 to discuss the matter.
Main subject will of course be where the possible destination is going to be, how BCCI will manage mass cancellation of tickets with a little more than a month left for ICC CWC 2023.
