Ind vs Eng, 2nd Test: Host thrashes visitor by 317 runs to level series at 1-1

Indian Cricket Team

Men in Blue made a remarkable comeback against England after they defeated the visitors by 317 runs to level four match series by 1-1 at Chennai.

England were given the target of 482 runs to win the second Test match but with the individual brilliance of Ravi Ashwin, Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav sealed the victory for India.

It will certainly go down in the history of Indian cricket as one of the best victories for Men in Blue till date. There were lot of personal milestones created once the second Test match has been concluded.

As India took 3 wickets of English team at the end of day 3 of the second Test match at Chennai. There were two days left for England to save the Test match but with the depth of Indian bowling lineup it wasn’t impossible.

The dominance of Indian bowling can be very well understand with the fact that English team bundled out in less than 200 runs in both their innings and their batters simply were not able to understand on the recently concluded turning track at Chennai as what adjustments they need to make in order to score runs against Indian bowlers.

Both sides face each other again in the third Test match, which starts from February 24, and the visitors will be aiming to bounce back to winning ways. Meanwhile, the home side will be hoping to take the lead in the series.

As England won the first Test match convincingly and India won the second one by huge margin with the series currently poised at 1-1 and India still need to win atleast one more match to register their spot as second finalist to face Kiwis at the inaugural edition of World Test Championship finals at 18th June 2021 at Lords.
