Australian Batting legend and Delhi Capitals head coach Ricky Ponting in a recent interview revealed his secret chat with India’s batting ace Virat Kohli. Both of them are currently in duty with their respective IPL teams and they met each other during their fixture at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Both of their teams have had totally different scenarios. DC will aim to finish their season with a victory against Chennai Super Kings after exiting the tournament, following a loss in their 12th league match. RCB on other hand still have a chance to reach the play-offs as their chances grew stronger after a win against SRH last night.

Virat Kohli was looking in fine form and perhaps produced one of his best performances in the IPL. The 34-year-old went on to smack a fantastic Century which led the foundation for a perfect win for the Bangalore based outfit. Kohli equaled Chris Gayle’s record of most centuries (6) and he is another century away from topping the list.
After the IPL, he will fly with the Indian team to England for their 2nd consecutive WTC final against might Australians. Ricky Ponting meanwhile will be there as a commentator and he said that his excitement levels are going over the roof.

In a chat with ICC, Ponting revealed that Kohli said to him that he is back to his absolute best and that Kohli will be the key for India in the one-off finale. “I had a good chat with him about his batting and where he is at and his career. And he said to me then that he actually feels like he’s almost to his absolute best.” – Ponting said.
On Kohli’s 6th IPL century, Ponting reminded that, “You probably saw that (Kohli’s century) last night, you know he’s had a very good IPL and i’m sure he will be the prize wicket that all the Australians are looking forward to.”
