Here in this article we will reveal, that how he tweaked his technique post Australia tour so that he can regain his form in International Cricket to be shared in detail in the below format:

  1. Post Australian Tour, Kohli straight away went up towards Sanjay Bangar, who has helped him in the past. Bangar has also served as batting coach for India under Kohli- Shastri regime.  As they worked together from 2014-2019 which was certainly Kohli Peak form years. Kohli scored 14 hundreds during this regime in Test Cricket.
  2. He increased his backfoot play, which was evident against Pakistan where he scored 100 runs from 111 balls, where he most played on back foot on all back to length deliveries. He played spinners on backfoot which allowed him to read spinners effectively play his shots against them effectively. Post gaining his confidence he came down to Front Foot with these mixed approach he played shots effectively .
  3. Kohli altered his bat position, where he come down closer to the wicketkeeper or first slip and he ensured that throughout his innings where he came down from the second and third  slip region.
  4. He adjusted his stance, where he had slightly opened stance, which gave him proper adjustment when it comes to countering fast bowlers and spinners. This slight adjustment gave him more fluid shot selection strategy, particularly it gave him ease to play most shots towards off side. Kohli certainly is one of the fittest cricket with his lower back lift flexibility it gave him more stability and control over his shots.
  5. Kohli had a problem against Left arm spinners, with this slight change in his stance and playing spin on back foot will give him more ease to play shots all over the ground.

My Perspective:

Virat Kohli has scored over 14,000 runs in ODI Cricket and more than 9,000 runs in Test cricket with another 3,000 more runs in T20I cricket his combined score have been 27,000 runs in International Cricket.

Kohli has etched 82 centuries(30 in Test Cricket, 51 in ODI Cricket &  1 in T20I Cricket) and he would be looking to break Sachin 100th Hundred records which seems not easy considering he is currently 36 years old and might play for 2-3 years maximum.

Kohli fans would be hoping that ace batter will break Tendulkar’s record and script history in times to come.
