Gautam Gambhir thanked Ajit Agarkar after his stint as India’s chief selector came to an end, saying history would be kinder to him. Under Agarkar’s watch India secured three ICC tournament trophies, marking a period of notable success.
Following Agarkar’s departure, the BCCI appointed Pragyan Ojha as interim chairman of selectors while it opens applications for a permanent chief. Former India great VVS Laxman will also sit on upcoming selection panels to enhance communication with the Centre of Excellence.
