French Superstar Paul Pogba set for a 4-year Ban from Football. Here's why?

Many would argue and debate about Paul Pogba being one of the greatest Midfielders of this generation. A player who can fit into anywhere in the Midfield as a Deep-lying play maker, as a Central defensive mid and also as a Box-to-Box midfielder. But the same player is now under danger of receiving a 4-year ban from all Footballing activities.

The latest development was revealed yesterday and it has quite fairly shocked most of his fans. He was already serving a provisional ban after being tested positive for Dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA). The substance reportedly increases Testosterone and other hormone levels that improves performances on the pitch.

Pogba was later banned by Italian Anti-Doping agency following the Tests conducted after Juventus’ Serie A tie against Udinese on September 11. And after he underwent another test his Sample B test returned positive once again leaving everyone baffled. It was said that Juventus will terminate Pogba’s contract and that he will be banned for 4 years.

Any comment or statement from Juventus of FIFA is yet to be made. But if he does serve a Ban then he will miss upcoming major tournaments. From next year onwards, the UEFA Champions League will be played in a brand new avatar which will include a league table instead of group stages.

Next year, Germany will host UEFA Euros, a competition that Paul Pogba almost won in 2016 before losing to Portugal at the Stade De France. The 2026 FIFA World Cup at Canada, USA and Mexico will also be missed by Pogba, a competition he won in 2018 at Russia.

The Sample B test was indeed his 2nd lifeline but once again he has been unable to come out with a negative report.
