After a competitive first-half, City responded with Kevin De Bruyne’s easy left-footed tap in within a minute after second-half began. It was a great build up play by the Cityzens as Riyadh Mahrez delivered a great cross.

Then as the game continued, Liverpool succumbed to the pressure and conceded 2 more goals. Only 7 minutes separated the 2nd and 3rd goal. Ilkay Gundogan finished off a good effort and English International Jack Grealish bagged the final goal to seal the victory by 4-1.

With the win, Pep Guardiola and Co. have reduced the gap on Arsenal and City will hope that Leeds United produce an upset and somehow dent Arsenal’s title hopes.

As for Liverpool they still have a lot of hard work to do if they are to reach the UEFA Champions League next season. They currently sit 6th in the points table with 42 points to their name and they will face Chelsea and Arsenal in their following 2 PL fixtures.
