In football, just players are not enough for a win; it is also the skills of the team manager which assists in winning. Managing a football team demands a certain set of skills and expertise. Apart from being assertive, managers are required to motivate and discipline the players and should also be aware of physical and psychological needs of the players.

#1 Zinedine Zidane

This contract ended on 2018, but Real Madrid recently announced the return of their most loved manager Zizou who has taken over the team from Santiago Solari. In March 2019 during a press conference, Zidance shared his new plans for the team.

He said, “I went because I needed it for me and the squad needed a change after winning it all. We had to change at that moment, in my opinion. Now, why did I make the decision to come back? Because the president called me and because I love the club and this club, here I am. The team needed a change at that time. After having won everything, not only with me but for five six, seven years, the squad needed a change. There’s nothing more than that.”

 

#2 Ole Gunnar Solskjær

This Norwegian footballer recently been announced as the permanent manager of Manchester United after his temporary tenure. During his 19 games period, Manchester United has won 14 matches, drawn two and lost three.

His win percentage has been 73%. On his appointment as the permanent manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjær said, “This is the job that I always dreamed of doing and I’m beyond excited to have the chance to lead the club long-term and hopefully deliver the continued success that our amazing fans deserve.”

 

#3 Jürgen Klopp

Jürgen Klopp has been associated with Liverpool since 2015 moving on from Borussia Dortmund. The last time Liverpool won the UEFA Champions League trophy was in 2005, and as soon as Klopp became the manager, the team reached the final against Real Madrid which has been his finest achievement till date. His strategy for Liverpool has been to give a chance to younger talent.

Klopp said that for him the highest point was when Liverpool reached the finals in Champions League. When asked what are his future plans for the team, he said, “We go for everything, that doesn’t mean we get everything, but we are now in three competitions, thank god, and in a really good moment. We will try to get everything as long as we are in the competitions.”

Maurizio Sarri was appointed as Chelsea’s manager in 2018. His football career started almost 30 years ago and Stia was the first team he managed in 1990.
