The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has taken an initiative to connect the fans with their favourite cricketers amid the pandemic. The Pakistan team is in England for three tests and as many T2oIs series marking the return of cricket for the Pakistani fans.

Samiya had previously caught the sight of many cricketers after her video of batting went viral on social media. Sri Lankan legend Kumar Sangakkara was even impressed with her technique of batting that he even tweeted praising her stance.

During his interaction with Samiya, Babar Azam praised her strokeplay and how also shared a few batting tips with her for becoming a better batsman.

“I am Babar Azam’s biggest fan and I want to be like him. Like a superhero, he looks after our country and takes our team out of troubles. One day, I will also do for our women’s team what he does for the men’s,” Samiya said in an official statement released by the PCB.

In his praise for Samiya, Pakistan’s limited-overs skipper said, “It was a great delight to meet Samiya. She is a superstar. I was in awe when I first saw her batting video. The way she was timing the ball was remarkable. She has all the potential to be a great batter and I look forward to catching up with her when the Covid-19 situation improves.”

The first test match of the series will start from August 5 at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground, followed by the second test from August 13-17.
