Australia’s All ICC Title Winning Games
Australia has certainly won more World Cups than anybody else. And now with the WTC trophy, they have completed the hall of fame. Not only the World Cup, but they also have many other achievements to their name. You can see the list of those ICC winning tournaments below.
ICC World Cup
Australia has won more World Cups than anybody else. They first won the 1987 world cup by defeating England, and later on they went on to win the three consecutive World Cups, that is 1999, 2003, and 2007. For that they defeated South Africa, India, and Sri Lanka. In 2011 they were not able to win the cup, but they managed to win their 5th World Cup title in 2015 by winning against New Zealand.
ICC Champions trophy
Australia has won the ICC Champions Trophy two times, and that has been in 2006 and 2009. ICC champions trophy In the 2006 final of the Champions Trophy, they defeated the West Indies team to win the trophy. Later on, in the 2009 final of the Champions Trophy, they defeated the Kiwis to win the second title.
T20 WC
In 2021, Australia won the T20 World Cup for the first time by chasing the target of 173 runs against New Zealand . That was certainly a big achievement, because that was their first and only title of the T20 World Cup. However, there is no doubt about the fact, there are many more to come to their name.
World Test Championship (2021-23)
Australia has certainly completed the hall of fame by winning the WTC final. This was the only trophy they were not having, and they finally got it by defeating India.
