Akeal Hosein, a cricketer from Trinidad who was born on April 25, in the year of 1993, has represented both Trinidad and Tobago in domestic West Indian cricket. And he has also played in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) for the Trinbago Knight Riders.

Domestic Cricket Career
Hosein, a Port of Spain native, represented the West Indies at the 2012 Under-19 World Cup in Australia. For Trinidad & Tobago, Akeal Jerome Hosein made his first-class debut against Jamaica in the 2012–13 Regional Four-Day Competition. The next year, Hosein won two straight games for the man of the match honors after taking 6/33 and 5/34 against the Windward Islands and then scoring his first-ever first-class century (102 not out) against the Leewards.
In 2014, Akeal joined the Barbados Tridents in Caribbean Premier League, Akeal Jerome Hosein went on to play for them in the 2014 Champions League T20. In 2015 again he represented Barbados Tridents in CPL competitions. He was included in Trinidad & Tobago’s roster for the 2019–20 Regional Super50 competition in November 2019. In 2020 CPL, he was included on the Trinbago Knight Riders roster. He was purchased by Sunrisers Hyderabad for the IPL 2023 on December 23, 2022.
International Cricket Career
For the series of West Indies against Bangladesh in December 2020, Akeal Jerome Hosein was chosen for the West Indies One Day International (ODI) team. On January 20, of the year 2021, Jerome Hosein played in his first One Day International (ODI) for the West Indies against Bangladesh. He was included in the West Indies Twenty20 International (T20I) team for their series against Sri Lanka in the month of February of the year 2021.
Akeal received a white-ball central contract from Cricket West Indies in May 2021 for the upcoming season. One of the ten players that received a white-ball core contract for the 2020–21 campaign was Akeal Jerome Hosein. He was included in the West Indies Twenty20 International (T20I) team in the month of June of the year 2021 in preparation for their series against South Africa. On July 3, 2021, Akeal Jerome Hosein played in his first T20I match for the West Indies against South Africa. Akeal was chosen to participate in the final two Twenty20 Internationals between West Indies and Australia in July 2021.
Hosein was selected as one of the West Indies team’s four reserve players in September 2021 for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. In place of Fabian Allen, who was sidelined with an ankle injury, Hosein was added to the West Indies’ 2021 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup roster in the month of October of the year 2021.
