The fifth and final Test match between India and England, played in Dharamsala from March 7th to 9th, 2024, was a one-sided affair dominated by the hosts.

India secured a resounding victory by an innings and 64 runs, sealing the series win 4-1

India’s batting juggernaut proved too powerful for England to handle.

Captain Rohit Sharma (103) and star batter Shubman Gill (110) laid a solid foundation with a century partnership.

Contributions from Yashasvi Jaiswal (57) and Devdutt Padikkal (65) further strengthened the score.

The lower-middle order chipped in with crucial runs as well. Sarfaraz Khan (56) and Ravindra Jadeja (15) steadied the ship after a middle-order wobble.

The tailenders, including Kuldeep Yadav (30) and Jasprit Bumrah (20), provided a late flourish, propelling India to a mammoth 477 runs in their first inning.

This win not only secured the series for India but also highlighted the emergence of young talents like Sarfaraz Khan, Devdutt Padikkal, and Dhruv Jurel.
