I-League Clubs' Concerns Over Financial Viability, Sustainability of League

Eleven I-League clubs have written to the All India Football Federation (AIFF) demanding free broadcasting of matches

And also on the clarity over the total number of participating teams in the 2023-24 season.

The clubs have also sought a transparent and open tender process for broadcasting rights

They have requested that the match schedule be released at least two months in advance

The reason being to allow for seamless travel and accommodation arrangements.

The clubs' demands come after the AIFF deducted a part of their last season's subsidy on the pretext of rising production costs for games.

The clubs have expressed concern that this will further impact the financial viability of the league
