The ongoing Battlegrounds Mobile India Masters Series (BGMS) Season 2 is facing serious challenges with ping and device issues, causing frustration among both players and fans. During Super Weekend 2 Day 3, multiple teams reported encountering high ping, severely impacting their gameplay. Team SouL’s manager, Siddhant “Sid” Joshi, revealed that his team experienced 400 ping even before the match began, hindering their ability to loot and move freely.
The CEO of Global Esports, Rushindra Sinha, also noted device and network problems that led to their unfortunate elimination from a match.

These problems have not only disrupted the matches but also caused delays. On Super Weekend 2 Day 2, technical glitches resulted in a delay of over an hour for the last match of the day.
Nodwin Gaming, the organizer of BGMS Season 2, has acknowledged these issues and assured that they are actively working to find solutions. However, the prevalent problems are overshadowing the tournament, which holds significant importance in the Indian esports scene.
The issue of high ping is particularly troubling, as it could create an unfair advantage for certain teams. In games like BGMI, where split-second decisions determine success, even the slightest lag can be a decisive factor.
Likewise, device-related problems are equally concerning as they hinder players from performing at their best. In a competitive environment, every player relies on a dependable device that can handle the game’s demands.
Immediate action is crucial for Nodwin Gaming to resolve these ping and device problems at BGMS Season 2. This tournament serves as a prime platform for showcasing Indian esports, and it’s imperative that it maintains fairness and competitiveness.

Regrettably, fans are disappointed with the management of the tournament. Social media platforms have seen an outpour of frustration, and calls for boycotting the event have emerged.
Nodwin Gaming must step up to address both fans’ and players’ concerns. Open and transparent communication regarding these issues is vital, alongside implementing measures to prevent their recurrence.
BGMS Season 2 presents a remarkable opportunity for Indian esports on the global stage. However, the prevailing ping and device issues are distracting from its potential, underscoring the urgency for prompt resolution.
