Sunil Gavaskar Joins Instagram on 50th anniversary of his Test debut

Today is the special day for Indian batting giant Sunil Gavaskar who will be remembered as someone who fearlessly faced West Indies during their era when they were considered ferocious and scoring against them was considered as huge mettle.

Gavaskar who made his Test debut for India on March 6th 2021 against mighty West Indies where he scored 774 runs on his maiden tour which itself is a world record till date. Gavaskar who played 16 years for India from 1971 to 1987 and then associated with Indian commentary team as expert since then if you look at his complete experience from the day he made debut for India to till now it has been 50 years journey where he always backed Indian cricket in tough time but at the same time criticized the policy of the world richest board when required.

On this big occasion, he joins one of the popular social media platforms known as Instagram. The former Mumbai player announced his Instagram arrival with brilliant artwork which represented the fact that it has been 50 years since he made his debut for the Indian cricket team.

His debut on of the most popular social media handle was also announced by his son Rohan Gavaskar who wrote on his official Twitter handle “Another debut !! This time on Instagram”.

Taking about Little Master record as batsman where he scored 10,122 runs in the longest format of the game in 125 Test matches where he scored 34 hundreds and 45 half centuries at a batting average of 51.12.

Whereas in the ODI format he played 108 matches where he scored 3,092 runs which includes 1 century and 27 half century at a batting average of 35.13.
