On June 18, of the year 2015, Mark Watt played in his first Twenty 20 international (T20I) match against Ireland. On July 31, 2015, against Nepal, Mark Watt made his List A debut in the 2015–17 ICC World Cricket League Championship. Mark Watt’s maiden five-wicket haul came on February 5, of the year 2016, when Watt defeated the Netherlands in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with five wickets for 27 runs.
On August 9, of the year 2016, Mark Robert James Watt played his first-ever first-class match in the 2015–17 ICC Intercontinental Cup against the United Arab Emirates (UAE). On September 8, of the year 2016, Watt played in his first One Day International (ODI) match against Hong Kong.
