Lamborghini who is regarded as one of the biggest car manufacturer from Italy has ventured into the space of Esports by launching their own team.
The team will consist of three drivers- Jordan Sherratt, Gianfranco Giglioli and Girgio Simonini who will start their video gaming campaign for Lamborghini by taking part in SRO which will be conducted by GT World Esports Championship.

Sherratt who had a brilliant outing in the last season of The Real Race Competition but his virtual career finished at fifth position in the 2017 Formula 4 United States competition.
“To become the official driver, that’s pretty much my goal. I’ve always worked towards that, even in the real world. Trying to get that in the virtual world is something, maybe it could bring something in motorsport,” South African driver said this word to Traxion.GG in December 2021.
Stressing more on other drivers -Giglioli and Simonini’s performance where the former finished at fifth position in the 2020 edition of The Real Race and the latter won the Sim Grid World Cup tournament in 2020.

The new form team of Lamborghini will compete in five rounds of GT World Challenge Esports Sprint series Europe as well as in Intercontinental GT Challenge Esports endurance tournament.
“After several decades of development in the industry, simulated racing is getting closer and closer to its real-life counterpart and now has nothing to envy from professional motorsport,” highlighted Giorgio Sanna, Automobili Lamborghini’s Head of Motorsport.
“Sim racing is an additional tool for us to develop some of the fundamental aspects of real racing, such as car setups and software applications that will play an important role in the future of our brand.”
Lamborghini was formed in the year 1948 by “Ferruccio Lamborghini” and its headquarter is based in “Pieve di Cento, Italy“and they are widely known for producing cars and tractors.
