The 14th Indian Premier League is ready to kickstart in April 2021. A BCCI official has notified the tentative dates for the grand festival to be from 9th April. He mentioned that the series with England will end in March and if the IPL starts from 9th, the players can get good enough rest to start playing again.
“The final decision will be taken by IPL GC (Governing Council) but 11th April is the tentative date to start IPL 2021. The series against England finishes in March and players will get a good break with the 11th April start for IPL 14th,” BCCI official quoted by The Times of India.
Since the news reached the public, the fans are very excited about the matches and so inquire about the IPL tickets has been increased significantly. The demand for these tickets is always higher than the International matches as people enjoy watching Live Ipl matches more. Another reason for the increased excitement and high demand for the tickets is that no sports event was held in India with spectators last year due to the increasing case of coronavirus. “We are working on having the IPL in India and we are hopeful that we would be able to organize it. We are not even thinking of a backup also at this point in time, we are wanting to do it here,” Arun Dhumal from IPL Governing Council said.
The schedule for the 14th edition of IPL is expected to be out in the coming weeks and after that, the announcement about tickets will be made if made. By now, no information has been announced on if live spectators will be allowed in the stadium during the match or not. Information about the audience is still awaited.
