Amazon Games is a video game company owned by Amazon, and it started in 2012. At first, they made games for mobile devices, like phones and tablets, but later they started making games for computers too.
One of their popular games is called New World, which came out in 2021. They also released another game called Lost Ark in 2022. Wei Yue, with his more than 10 years of experience, is now joining Amazon Games to help make their new esports games better.
He said, “I’m really excited to be a part of this and to help make the competitive gaming part of the games even better.”
Amazon Games is working on several new games that people can play together, but it’s not clear which game Wei Yue will be working on yet.
Wei Yue moving to Amazon Games is not the only big change in the gaming world recently. In July, Josh Kingett, who started X7, joined a company called DotX Talent to help with their esports work. Also, another person named Ben Goldhaber joined GGWP, a company that helps with game moderation and marketing.
