Australia Outclass England on Every Point

Australia

There is no doubt about the fact that the new way of batting (Bazball) was not able to beat the traditional Test Cricket style. Australia was able to get the wickets on time, and at the same time, they were also able to get some runs on the board. However, a good advantage of the Bazball style is that there is certainly going to be a result of the match. That is because the inning is finishing so quickly.

Australia’s bowling

The bowling of Australia is certainly up to the mark. In the first inning, England scored 393, but the bowling was certainly great. In this match, there is no doubt that Stuart Broad is making the most important contribution to the team. In the first inning, Broad went on to take 3 wickets for only 68 runs. He got good support from Robinson, who took 3 wickets on the other end. However, even Stokes deserves praise because he went on to take the most important wicket from the Australian team, that was of Steve Smith.

Australia’s batting

There is no doubt about the fact that even in batting, Australia was able to showcase a good fight. They could not reach a total of 400, but they managed to score 386 runs. That was certainly enough to put pressure on England.

The most crucial role in the Australian batting unit was played by Khawaja. He scored 141 runs, even though on the other end nobody was able to provide any support to him. Khawaja’s exceptional innings demonstrated his skill and determination as he carried the weight of the Australian batting line-up on his shoulders.

Despite the lack of support from his teammates, Khawaja exhibited remarkable resilience and composure, crafting a brilliant century that kept Australia in the game. His performance showcased his ability to handle pressure and his importance as a key player for the team.
