Will India miss Chhetri, Sandhu, Jhingan in Asian Games?
The Indian football team for the upcoming Asian Games in Hangzhou, China has been announced
And to everybody's shock it does not include three of the country's most experienced and successful players
Sunil Chhetri, Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, and Sandesh Jhingan are not included in the Asian Cup Squad
Chhetri is India's all-time leading scorer with 83 goals, Sandhu is the national team's goalkeeper, and Jhingan is a central defender.
But All three players are over the age of 23, which is the maximum age for players in the Asian Games.
The decision to not include Chhetri, Sandhu, and Jhingan in the squad has been met with some surprise and disappointment.
However, the Indian Football Federation (AIFF) has said that the decision was made in order to give younger players a chance to shine.
