Karun Nair
is an Indian professional international cricketer from Karnataka.
He is a right-handed top order batter and an occasional off break bowler as per speciality.
He is only the second Indian batter to score a triple century in Test cricket.
He made his ODI debut against Zimbabwe. and Test debut against England, both in 2016.
He plays for Vidarbha in domestic cricket and Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League.
Nair is fluent in several languages: English, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada and Tamil.
Nair made his first-class debut in the 2013–14 season in which Karnataka won the Ranji Trophy.
In January 2025, Nair scored 542 runs without getting out in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
He was the quickest batsman to hit a maiden triple-hundred in Test cricket history in term of number of matches played.
Nair married his partner Sanaya in January 2020 and are settled in Bengaluru currently.
