Sports Ministry Clears Bajrang And Deepak Punia's Requests
The Sports Ministry has cleared the requests of wrestlers Bajrang Punia and Deepak Punia to train abroad till the 2023 Asian Games.
Bajrang, a two-time Olympic medallist, will train in the United States
While Deepak, a world championship bronze-medallist, will train in Serbia.
The ministry has also approved the training requests of wrestlers Vinesh Phogat and Anshu Malik.
The decision to allow the wrestlers to train abroad was taken after a meeting of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) with the Sports Ministry.
The WFI had requested the ministry to allow the wrestlers to train abroad
So that they can get exposure to international competition and improve their skills.
