Saurabh Walkar to Bring His Expertise to New Zealand Cricket for 2023 World Cup
Saurabh Walkar, former performance analyst for Mumbai Ranji Trophy team, joined New Zealand Cricket for 2023 Cricket World Cup
Walkar will be responsible for helping the Kiwis prepare for the spin-friendly pitches in India, where the tournament will be held
Walkar has extensive experience in cricket analytics, having worked with Mumbai, the Rajasthan Royals, and the Afghanistan national team.
"I am excited to join New Zealand Cricket and to be a part of their World Cup campaign," Walkar said.
"I have been working hard to prepare for this role, and I am confident that I can help the team succeed."
New Zealand Cricket head coach Gary Stead said that Walkar's appointment was a "significant signing" for the team.
Walkar will begin his role with New Zealand Cricket, when the team begins a T20 series against England.
