Rohit talks about the reason of his animated gesture towards Ishan prior to the declaration vs WI.

Right before India's first innings declaration against the West Indies, Rohit Sharma appeared dissatisfied with Ishan Kishan.

Many speculated that Rohit would have preferred Ishan - a naturally aggressive hitter - to score quickly as India needed to declare the innings.

However, during the post-match presentation, Rohit finally addressed out about the incident.

The India captain said that he wanted Ishan to open his account before calling the batters back into the hut.

He further said that he told the batters that they only had "an over or so" before making the announcement.

After Ishan had faced 19 deliveries, Rohit emerged from the dressing room, dressed in his whites, and made an expressive motion to the batsman, asking him to get a move on.
