They faced off in the semi-final of the 2016 tournament, with Madrid winning 1-0 to go to the final.
In the 2020 group stage, city won both matches against Madrid with scores of 2-1.
Madrid overcame City in the final minute of the match in 2022, advancing to the finals and winning the league.
