Indian cricketer Prithvi Shaw created history on 9th Aug by smashing a record-breaking double century in the One-Day Cup.
Shaw, who is playing for Northamptonshire, scored 207 not out off just 134 balls against Somerset.
Shaw's knock is the highest individual score in the history of the One-Day Cup
His innings included 25 fours and eight sixes. breaking the previous record of 206 set by Ollie Robinson in 2022
It is also the second double century by an Indian batsman in List A cricket, after Rohit Sharma scored 264 for Mumbai Indians in 2013
Shaw's innings helped Northamptonshire to post a total of 390 for 4, which proved to be too much for Somerset
Shaw's double century is a major boost for his chances of making a comeback to the Indian team.
