– Liverpool manager concerned about unfair advantage for Saudi clubs

Jurgen Klopp has called on FIFA and UEFA to take action on the Saudi Arabian transfer window

The Liverpool manager is concerned that the longer window gives Saudi clubs an unfair advantage in the transfer market

as they can continue to sign players after European clubs have closed their books

Klopp has specifically mentioned the case of Roberto Firmino, who left Liverpool for Al Nassr in September 2023.

Firmino had been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia for several months

but Liverpool were unable to replace him until the January transfer window.

Klopp believes that the longer transfer window in Saudi Arabia is "not helpful" for European clubs
