Kusal Mendis is tied for second most sixes in a Test innings.

Kusal Mendis has become one of the few batsmen in Test history to hit ten or more sixes in a single innings.

In fact, Mendis has the joint-second-most sixes in a Test innings.

Mendis accomplished the feat during Sri Lanka's second Test against Ireland in Galle, when he also scored his first Test double century.

Mends hit 245 runs off 291 balls, including 18 fours and 11 sixes.

In a Test innings, Nathan Astle, Matthew Hayden, Brendon McCullum, and Ben Stokes have all smashed 11 sixes.

Wasim Akram set the record for the most sixes (12) against Zimbabwe in 1996.
