Ruturaj Gaikwad was born in 1997 in Pune and is a professional cricketer.
Gaikwad has been part of the CSK franchise since 2019 and is known for his opening batting style.
He is currently the captain of the Chennai Super Kings franchise.
He holds the record for the most centuries in Vijay Hazare Trophy, with 12 centuries.
Ruturaj made his international debut in a T20I match against Sri Lanka in July 2021.
In 2021, Gaikwad won the Orange Cap after scoring 635 runs in that season.
Ruturaj made his first-class debut for Maharashtra at the young age of 19.
He is also the captain of the Maharashtra state team in T20 and List A cricket.
Besides cricket, Ruturaj enjoys playing golf and is active on social media too.
He is married to Utkarsha Pawar, who is also a cricketer for Maharashtra.
