India ease past Bangladesh in 1st T20
India defeated Bangladesh by seven wickets in the first T20I match

The match between them was played in Mirpur, Bangladesh on July 9, 2023.
Bangladesh was restricted to 114 for 5 in their 20 overs. India chased down the target in just 16.2 overs with seven wickets in hand.
Harmanpreet Kaur was the star of the show for India, scoring 54 not out off 35 balls.
She was well-supported by Smriti Mandhana, who scored 38 off 34 balls.
The win gave India a 1-0 lead in the three-match T20I series.
The second match of the series will be played on July 11 in Mirpur.
