ICC Player Of The Month Nominees For February

On Monday, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the nominees for the ICC Men's and Women's Player of the Month awards for February 2024.

The cricketers nominated for ICC Men's Player of the Month (February) are India's Yashasvi Jaiswal, New Zealand's Kane Williamson, and Sri Lanka's Pathum Nissanka.

Yashasvi Jaiswal had a fabulous February. In Rajkot, Jaiswal smashed 12 sixes and equaled the record of hitting most sixes in a test inning. He ended February with 560 runs at an average of 112.

New Zealand's skipper Kane Williamson slammed back-to-back centuries in both innings of the first Test in Mount Maunganui and then scored 133 not out to help his team chase down a tricky fourth-inning target in Hamilton. This results in Kiwi's first-ever Test series victory over South Africa.

Nissanka excelled across ODIs and T20Is against Afghanistan. In the first ODI of the series, he slammed Sri Lanka's first-ever ODI double-century (210 not out in 139 balls) and later a century in the third ODI (118 in 101 balls). He posted 346 ODI runs and 91 T20I runs to earn his first nomination.

The ICC also nominated Kavisha Egodage and Esha Oza from the UAE and Annabel Sutherland from Australia for the ICC Women's Player of the Month award for February.
