HS Prannoy clinched a bronze medal at the BWF World Badminton Championships 2023.
He defeated Kunlavut Vitidsarn of Thailand in the third-place playoff in a thrilling match that went to three games.
Prannoy, who is ranked 9th in the world, started the match strongly and took the first game 21-18.
However, Vitidsarn, who is ranked 3rd in the world
Came back strong in the second game and won it 21-13.
The third game was a close affair, with both players trading points.
Prannoy eventually prevailed 21-14 to secure the bronze medal.
This is Prannoy's first medal at the BWF World Championships.
