Yuliya Efimova, born in 1992 is a Russian competitive swimmer.

She is a record holder in the 200m individual medley, 50m breaststroke and 100m breaststroke.

She became the first woman to win the 200m breaststroke on three occasions at the FINA World Aquatics Championships.

She has attained 109 medals throughout her career,  including 48 golds at Swimming World Cups.

Awarded as the 'Sportswoman of the Year' from the All-Russia Swimming Federation in 2017.

She emerged as the first Russian swimmer to be granted neutral status ahead of the 2024 Olympics.

She began her swimming journey as a child and started training at the age of seven.
