CSK found themselves caught up in controversy once more as a result of a ₹750 match ticket being sold for ₹4,500 on the black market.
Most CSK fans are unable to purchase tickets because of the team's insanely large fan base, hence they are forced to pay ridiculous prices.
CSK management reacted to these allegations by stating that they are unable to combat the black market and cannot increase the number of tickets available to fans.
With a total seating capacity of 50,000, 20% of the seating are given out to the TNCA and BCCI, 30% are allocated to sponsors and TNCA clubs, leaving only 15,000 tickets available for sale to fans.
Another factor contributing to the strong demand from fans is the likelihood that this will be Dhoni's final season.
