Brighton signs Fati on loan from Barcelona

Brighton have signed Ansu Fati on a season-long loan from Barcelona.

The deal does not include an option to make the transfer permanent.

Fati is a highly-rated young player who has been capped nine times by Spain.

He burst onto the scene at Barcelona in 2019, becoming the club's youngest ever goalscorer at the age of 16 years and 298 days.

However, he has been limited by injuries in recent years, making just 36 appearances for Barcelona in the last two seasons.

The loan move to Brighton will give Fati the chance to play regular football and rebuild his career.

Brighton are a young and ambitious club who are looking to improve their attacking options.
