Arshdeep Singh Shines on Kent Debut

Indian bowler Arshdeep Singh made a dream start to his stint with English county side Kent

picking up three wickets in his first List A match for the club.

Singh, who was signed by Kent on a short-term deal for the 2023 season, impressed with his pace and accuracy, bowling at an economy rate of just 3.50.

He dismissed Leicestershire openers Chris Lynn and Harry Swindells in his first spell, and then returned to the attack to get rid of Lewis Hill.

Singh's performance helped Kent to restrict Leicestershire to 226-9 in their 50 overs, and the hosts chased down the target with 10 balls to spare.

Singh's performance is a timely boost for India ahead of the T20 World Cup, which is scheduled to be held in Australia later this year.
