Anti-Racism law named after Vinicius Jr. Check why.

The Rio de Janeiro government has named an anti-racism law after Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr.

The law was unanimously approved by the government in June.

The law was inspired by an incident, when Vinicius was racially abused by fans during a match between Real Madrid and Valencia.

The 22-year-old Brazilian forward responded to the abuse by pointing out the fans in the stands.

The 'Vini Jr law' includes a protocol on processing complaints of racism and conduct mandatory educational campaigns.

The law will see sporting events stopped or suspended in the event of racist conduct.

It is the first law of its kind in Brazil, and it is hoped that it will help to combat racism in football and other sports.
