The study that produced this result was carried out by the University of Cologne, Liechtenstein, and Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences.

103 individuals were invited to the lab by the scientists, where they underwent a short IQ test while playing commercial virtual reality games.

According to the researcher's findings, those who finished the game quickly had higher general intelligence levels than those who finished slowly.
