5 F1 Drivers Who Made Epic Comebacks

Michael Schumacher The legendary seven-time F1 champion ended his illustrious career in 2006. However, he made a comeback in 2010 with the new Mercedes team.

Although not as successful as his previous stint, fans devoured seeing Schumacher back on track.

Alain Prost After a fallout with the Ferrari team, Prost skipped the 1992 season but came back a changed man. 

Teaming up with Williams, Prost shattered records and won his fourth championship.

Niki Lauda While Lauda is well-known for his epic six-week comeback after sustaining life-threatening injuries in 1976, 

he also returned to F1 action in 1982 after a four-year hiatus. Two years later in 1984, he picked up his third title with McLaren.

Daniel Ricciardo The 'Honeybadger' is back on the F1 circuit after he was dropped by McLaren at the end of the 2022 season. 

The Australian will race for AlphaTauri, replacing Nyck de Vries.

Fernando Alonso The two-time world champion had called it quits in 2018 after a string of poor performances.

However, he had a change of heart in  2021 and returned to the grid. He currently reps Aston Martin.
