VIVO IPL 2019 | The Most Celebrated T20 League in the World

VIVO IPL 2019 | The Most Celebrated T20 League in the World

The bidding wars at the IPL auction for the 2019 season are over and all the eight teams are ready to face the stern completion with their best possible team combinations in the coming season. On the other side, the IPL committee has announced that the Vivo IPL 2019 season would kick start on March 23 but the complete schedule is yet to be finalized due to the upcoming general elections in the country. Still, there is one thing which has been decided that all the matches would be played on Indian soil only despite earlier rumors of IPL shifting to a foreign territory due to elections.

While “Who will face whom and where ?” is yet to be decided, let’s take a look at the final squad of all the eight teams along with all the necessary updates and information about Vivo IPL 2019.

Vivo IPL 2019 Teams Overview

1. Chennai Super Kings (CSK)

Players which have been retained: MS Dhoni (C), Suresh Raina, Deepak Chahar, KM Asif, Karn Sharma, Dhruv Shorey, Faf du Plessis, M Vijay, Ravindra Jadeja, Sam Billings, Mitchell Santner, David Willey, Dwayne Bravo, Shane Watson, Lungi Ngidi, Imran Tahir, Kedar Jadhav, Ambati Rayudu, Harbhajan Singh, N Jagadeesan, Shardul Thakur, Monu Kumar, Chaitanya Bishnoi

Players Bought in the auction: Mohit Sharma (Rs 5 crore), Ruturaj Gaikwad (Rs 20 lakh

Biggest Strength

You seriously would find it hard to ascertain the biggest strength of this team as you would get across lots of them whilst analyzing their recent performances. Still, if we have to list them out, it must go in the following order :

MSD, the Captain cool!

MSD has been the biggest talisman of the CSK team ever since it has established in IPL over the past 10 seasons. Not only has he won them three IPL title in the 8 seasons they have played, but also became one of the only teams to have qualified for the playoffs every season forward. This isn’t all as Mahi himself has been the biggest contributor to most of their victories with his prolific hitting and aggressive batting at whoever order he plays at.

To get a brief understanding of the same, we must take a dip down the memory lane in the IPL 2016 where CSK were facing the threat of heading out of the competition in the group stages only. They were up against the mighty KXIP team and Dhoni was on strike whi9lst facing Irfan Pathan with 16 runs to score off the last over. Not only did he hit the last ball for six, but he also guaranteed his team a spot in the qualifiers once again.

Perfect team balance

There were few cricket experts and even fans which were quoting this team as the team of “ Old horses” and almost none has given them the tag of favorites of winning the IPL 2018. Not only CSK proved all those people wrong, but they went on to dominate every single match in the tournament with the utmost ease. This can be perfectly co-related to their perfect team balance which checks all the spots required to perform on a given day. Whilst they have the perfect opening combo of Aussie “White shark” Shane Watson and Indian young Turk Ambati Rayudu, they have the might of Dhoni, Raina, Jadhav, du Plessis, and Billings in their middle order. Moreover, when we have to analyze their lower order and the bowling department, we can find the likes of Dwayne Bravo, David Willey and Mitchell Santner in all rounder’s role. The bowling is also full proof with Lungi Ngidi, Deepak Chahar, Harbhajan Singh, and Imran Tahir. We can surely say that the defending champions are here to roar again!

Biggest Weakness

Age factor

Well, it’s hard to find a weakness in this team but the growing age of all their players can come over as the biggest concern for the team management in the coming times. Whilst most of their players including Dhoni are aged above 30 years, Dhoni and co. needs to find a way for them in order to cope up the fast-paced action of T2o cricket which generally favors the young players and their flexible approach.

“Not so strong” bowling strength

Even though CSK packs a punch at the batting department along with their all rounder’s list, their bowling still needs to get improved in order to keep up with the consistent approach they always play with. Harbhajan and Tahir are getting older and their spin deliveries are slowly losing the edge over the batsman. On the other side, Ngidi and Chahar have been the only bright spot in the past season but they still have to work hard in order to prove their worth in the coming season.

2. Delhi Capitals

Players Retained: Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, Prithvi Shaw, Amit Mishra, Avesh Khan, Harshal Patel, Rahul Tewatia, Jayant Yadav, Manjot Kalra, Colin Munro, Chris Morris, Kagiso Rabada, Sandeep Lamichhane, Trent Boult

Players Bought in auction: Hanuma Vihari (Rs 2 crore), Axar Patel (Rs 5 crore), Ishant Sharma (Rs 1.10 crore), Ankush Bains (Rs 20 lakh), Nathu Singh (Rs 20 lakh), Colin Ingram (Rs 6.40 crore), Sherfane Rutherford (Rs 2 crore), Keemo Paul (Rs 50 lakh), Jalaj Saxena (Rs 20 lakh), Bandaru Ayyappa (Rs 20 lakh)

Players which have been Traded: Shikhar Dhawan got traded from Sunrisers Hyderabad for Abhishek Sharma, Vijay Shankar, Shahbaz Nadeem

Biggest Strength

Strong batting order

Even though Delhi hasn’t been able to live up to all the hype created around them in the past 10 seasons, their strong batting order on paper can be quoted as their biggest strength altogether. If you take a look around the list, you would find the might starting from the top only with the likes of Colin Munro, Shikhar Dhawan, Prithvi Shaw, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh pant and Colin Ingram in the list. Although the consistency of their batting is their only worry over the past seasons, we can only hope that the changed name from “Delhi Daredevils” to “Delhi capitals” can also change their fate in the IPL 2019.

Presence of Indian young Turks

If you have to name a team which featured the most promising Indian talent in the IPL, it has to be Delhi capitals. Even though this hasn’t brought them any good luck in the IPL, we can certainly vouch for the name like Prithvi Shaw, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh pant, Hanuma Vihari, Avesh Khan and so on. This can certainly be one of the only things which can work for them in the coming season and whilst the Delhi capital’s fans and the owners would be hoping for the same, we can only put our good thoughts and wishes for the same.

Biggest Weaknesses

Inconsistency in every IPL season

Even though the Delhi teams pack a big punch within their squad, they have mostly fallen prey to other teams because of their “consistent” inconsistency. Every year around we find them coming on board with one of the best players from around the world, they keep on repeating the same disappointing story for their fans around the country. Every time around they have delivered in bits and pieces and this can be considered as the biggest reason for their dismal performance in the IPL so far.

The Inexperienced lot

While we have just quoted them as the team with the most talented youngsters from the Indian domestic circuit, this transforms into inexperience sometimes and this is what has happened for their team in the past few years. Even though they have traded the Indian national team Opener Shikhar Dhawan in the team for the new season, there will be a lot to prove for the Delhi team this time around. Although the team drafted the services of renowned former Indian player Gautam Gambhir from his previous team KKR, even he hasn’t been able to bring some success for his home team. As a result, he left the captaincy mid-season and Shreyas Iyer came over to handle the team for the rest of the season.

3. Kings XI Punjab

Players which have been Retained: KL Rahul, Chris Gayle, Andrew Tye, Mayank Agarwal, Ankit Rajpoot, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Karun Nair, David Miller, and Ravichandran Ashwin

Players Bought in the auction: Moises Henriques (Rs 1 crore), Nicholas Pooran (Rs 4.2 crore), Varun Chakaravarthy (Rs 8.4 crore), Sam Curran (Rs 7.2 crore), Mohammad Shami (Rs 4.2 crore), Sarfaraz Khan (Rs 25 lakh), Hardus Viljoen (Rs 75 lakh), Arshdeep Singh (Rs 20 lakh), Darshan Nalkande (Rs 30 lakh), Prabhsimran Singh (Rs 4.8 crore), Agnivesh Ayachi (Rs 20 lakh), Harpreet Brar (Rs 20 lakh), Murugan Ashwin (Rs 20 lakh)

Biggest Strengths

Fiery batting at the top

Kings XI Punjab is one of those teams which have mostly been fallen prey to their hard luck despite their notable performances in most of the matches in the past few years of IPL. Still, this team consists of one of the best opening combinations at the top with the likes of Chris Gayle and KL Rahul who have demolished the bowling line up of almost every team in the past season and took their team through to some prolific wins in the process. Once again all eyes will be on this deadly duo and they would be hoping for a title victory for their team this time around.

The Bowling department

Punjab does possess some real firepower in their bowling line up and apart from the captain Ashwin, they got some really impressive bowlers in the list like Andrew tye, Mujeeb ur Rehman, Ankit Rajpoot. Moreover, they have recently drafted the ace Indian bowler Mohammed Shami who is coming from the recent tours of Australia and New Zealand where he proved his prowess against some of the best batsman around the world. Therefore, Kings XI really packs a punch this time around in both their batting and bowling line up and they can certainly be tagged as favorites to win the IPL title this time.

Biggest Weaknesses

The unstable middle order

Even though the likes of Rahul and Gayle have proven their skills at the top for their team, their middle order has mostly faltered in the past IPL and this was one of the biggest reasons for their debacle in the T20 tournament. Although they were equipped with names like Yuvraj, Finch, Miller, and Nair within the middle order last season, their inconsistent run and fluctuating batting orders have cost the team to a great extent during the whole tournament.

Lack of quality all-rounder

Every other team which has made it good in the IPL so far has got some great all-rounders in their squad but when it comes to a team like Punjab, this is something which they lack big time. Although their captain Ashwin has delivered some notable performances with both bat and ball, there isn’t any other player with proven all-rounder capabilities within the squad. Still, the inclusion of Aussie all-rounder Moises Henrique can bring on some hop in the same regards within the team.

4. Kolkata Knight Riders ( KKR)

Players  which have been Retained: Dinesh Karthik (C), Robin Uthappa, Chris Lynn, Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Shubman Gill, Piyush Chawla, Kuldeep Yadav, Prasidh Krishna, Shivam Mavi, Nitish Rana, Rinku Singh, Kamlesh Nagarkoti

Players Bought in the auction: Carlos Brathwaite (Rs 5 crore), Lockie Ferguson (Rs 1.60 crore), Anrich Nortje (Rs 20 lakh), Nikhil Naik (Rs 20 lakh), Harry Gurney (Rs 75 lakh), Yarra Prithviraj (Rs 20 lakh), Joe Denly (Rs 1 crore), Shrikant Mundhe (Rs 20 lakh)

Biggest Strengths

Mighty batting strength

Kolkata team can certainly be considered as one of the most accomplished teams in regards to their batting line up within the whole IPL and while they have added some big names like Carlos Braithwaite and Joe Denly to the list, it looks more lethal than ever. Well if you look down at their batting line up, it poses some real firepower at the top with the likes of Chris Lynn and Sunil Narine coming on the top. Then it’s about Robin Uthappa and Nitish Rana who have had some great performances in the past under their names in IPL. Once you are over from them, you will now get to go through the might of Andre Russell and Captain Dinesh Karthik. Looks like the KKR fans are up for a treat this season!

The big list of all-rounder

With the likes of Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Joe Denlyand Carlos Braithwaite in the side, we can certainly say that KKR really got some lethal weapons of the cricket world in the squad and they must come handy for their quest to the IPL 2019 title this time around. Although it would be quite interesting to see which players would get a chance to feature from the list( with only 4 foreign players to play in a match), we can certainly see a ray of hope at the end of the tunnel for the KKR fans.

Biggest Weaknesses

The big list of “Injuries” to their key players

KKR has lost their young seamer Kamlesh Nagarkoti even before the start of the IPL 2018 and their big players like Lynn and Russell were still recovering from their respective injuries in the process. On the other side, there were some fitness issues to both Uthappa and Narine as well which made them sit out for few matches for the team and with that said, we can certainly quote that KKR has to think about the fitness levels of their squad in the coming season.

5. Mumbai Indians

Players which have been Retained: Rohit Sharma (C), Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, Krunal Pandya, Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, Mayank Markande, Rahul Chahar, Anukul Roy, Siddhesh Lad, Aditya Tare, Quinton de Kock, Evin Lewis, Kieron Pollard, Ben Cutting, Mitchell McClenaghan, Adam Milne, Jason Behrendorff

Players Bought in the auction: Lasith Malinga (Rs 2 crore), Anmolpreet Singh (Rs 80 lakh), Barinder Sran (Rs 3.40 crore), Pankaj Jaiswal (Rs Rs 20 lakh), Rasikh Salam (Rs 20 lakh), Yuvraj Singh (Rs 1 crore)

Traded players: Quinton de Kock from RCB (for Rs 2.8 crore)

Biggest Strength

Perfect team balance

When we talk about a team like Mumbai Indians, we are talking about a squad which has won the IPL title three times in the past 10 seasons. Moreover, besides them having some of the best cricketers in their squad, the team of Mumbai is currently one of the few teams in the IPL who has got the perfect team balance with all the departments checked for a particular cricket match. You simply look around at their batting on top and they possess some of the best batsmen from the domestic and International circuit on board like Evin Lewis, Suryakumar Yadav, Quinton De Kock, Rohit Sharma and so on. This is not it as the team is carrying around one of the most lethal bowling attacks in the whole IPL and with players like Bumrah, McClenaghan, Pandya, Markande and many others in their list, we can certainly quote them as favorites to win the IPL 2019 this time around.

The team of the best all-rounder

If we have to name a team which consists of the most impactful and perfect combination of the all-rounder in their squad, it has to be Mumbai Indians. Moreover, with the likes of Pandya brothers, Ben cutting, Kieron Pollard and Rahul Chahar in their squad, we can say that their opponents have every reason to get scared of the Mighty Mumbai Indians team. On the other side, the same big list of perfect all-rounder sometimes comes as a headache for the team management as they find it really hard to accommodate each and every one of them according to a given match or situation. Still every now and then, these pack of all rounder’s comes to their rescue numerous times and this is why Mumbai Indian have flourished well over the past few seasons of the IPL.

Biggest Weaknesses

Too much dependency on Bumrah in Bowling terms

Just like Indian national team, the Mumbai Indians are largely dependant on Jasprit Bumrah to take care of their bowling department and there are times when he has been the dole warrior fighting on his own in a given match. Although the likes of Pandya, Markande, and McClenaghan have delivered time to times in bits and pieces, their combined efforts often fall short of making a win for the team in the process. Still, we can hope that inclusion of Sri Lankan legend Lasith Malinga can certainly ease up some pressure from the shoulders of Bumrah in the coming season.

The Inconsistent run of their Captain Rohit Sharma

Mumbai Indians has largely counted on their batting ace and Captain Rohit Sharma and their debacle in the last season was something which can be connected with the bad form of Rohit in the process. Although Rohit did delivers to a great extent in team India’s tour of Australia and New Zealand, it would still be worth to watch how he is going to repeat the same heroics on the pitch for his Mumbai franchise. Whilst we can only wait for that till the IPL season begins on March 23, let’s hope for something special from the Indian vice-captain for his Mumbai franchisee this season. Also, whilst they have traded Quinton de Kock from RCB now, they can really look forward to a strong batting line up in the upcoming season.

6. Rajasthan Royals

Players which have been Retained: Ajinkya Rahane, Krishnappa Gowtham, Sanju Samson, Shreyas Gopal, Aryaman Birla, S. Midhun, Prashant Chopra, Stuart Binny, Rahul Tripathi, Ben Stokes, Steve Smith, Jos Buttler, Jofra Archer, Ish Sodhi, Dhawal Kulkarni, Mahipal Lomror

Players which have been bought in auction : Jaydev Unadkat (Rs 8.4 crore), Varun Aaron (Rs 2.4 crore), Oshane Thomas (Rs 1.1 crore), Shashank Singh (Rs 30 lakh), Liam Livingstone (Rs 50 lakh), Shubham Rajane (Rs 20 lakh), Manan Vohra (Rs 20 lakh), Ashton Turner (Rs 50 lakh), Riyan Parag (Rs 20 lakh)

Biggest Strength

A team Full of young talent

Along with Delhi capitals team, Rajasthan Royals also possess the best bunch of youngsters in their squad and with players like Sanju Samson, Jaydev Unadkat, KC Gowtham, Rahul Tripathi and Shreyas Gopal in their squad, we can certainly quote Rajasthan Royals as a team which is really providing the young talent of this country a real platform to prove their chances on the biggest stages of the IPL tournament. Moreover, with names like Manan Vohra, Ashton Turner and Liam Livingstone coming Into their team for the IPL 2019 season, their outfit has already strengthened enough for the upcoming challenge.

The All-round strength

Although many of the cricket experts aren’t counting the Rajasthan team as the favorites for the IPL 2019, they really pack a punch whilst fielding some of the finest all-rounders in the game with names like Krishnappa Gowtham, Ben Stokes and Liam Livingstone in the list. On top of that, they have got the services of Jofra Archer, Mahipal Lomror and Stuart Binny as well who can step up to any given challenge on a  given day with both bat and ball. All they need is some consistency on the field.

Biggest Weakness

Over-dependence on their foreign recruits

It was during the last season when Rajasthan Royals were losing too many games at the start and suddenly after promoting the English batsman Jose butler up the order, their fortunes turned overnight and the team went on to deliver some notable performances in the process. Meanwhile, once butler and stokes left for their national duties after few matches, RR really found it hard to maintain the same run and struggled all the way for the rest of the tournament. Even though they did make into the playoffs due to butler’s heroics mostly, they delivered ordinary performances in the playoffs and hence went on to bow out of the tournament without any major achievement to their name.

Lack of experience in their bowling outfit

Even though Rajasthan did have bowlers like Jofra Archer, Jaydev Unadkat, Shreyas Gopal and Ish Sodhi in their team, they generally lack some experience in their squad which can manage to deliver the same excellence in crucial conditions for their team. This was the team which used to be one of the better bowling teams with players like Shane Warne, Siddharth Trivedi and Munaf Patel in the past but over the past few years, they have faltered big time in making the right bowlers recruited in their team. Still, the team can look up to the likes of Dhawal Kulkarni and Ben Stokes to take the responsibility on their shoulders in the upcoming season and cover up the gap.

7. Royal Challengers Bangalore

Players which have been Retained: Virat Kohli (C), AB de Villiers, Parthiv Patel, Yuzvendra Chahal, Tim Southee, Umesh Yadav, Navdeep Saini, Kulwant Khejroliya, Washington Sundar, Pawan Negi, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Moeen Ali, Mohammed Siraj, Colin de Grandhomme

Players which have been bought: Shimron Hetmyer (4.2 crores), Devdutt Padikkal (20 lakh), Shivam Dube (5 crores), Heinrich Klassen (50 lakh), Gurkeerat Singh (50 lakh), Himmat Singh (Rs 65 lakh), Prayas Ray Barman (Rs 1.5 crore)

Players Traded: Mandeep Singh for Marcus Stoinis

Biggest Strength

AB Devilliers and Virat Kohli

You can’t always find two of the best batsman of the current era playing for the same team and this is what has been the biggest strength for the RCB team over the past few years. There have been numerous instances when these two have brought their team home with some prolific batting in the middle. Although RCB is still craving for a maiden IPL title victory after all these years in IPL, these two can surely be their best bet for the upcoming season as well. Whilst Virat is in the form of his life with the National team as well, ABD has recently announced his retirement from the International cricket which literally means, he will be there available for his team for the upcoming season in 2019.

Strong batting line up

Whilst we just mentioned about the likes of Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers in the RCB squad, they are also equipped with some more firepower in their batting with Marcus Stoinis, Parthiv Patel, Shimron Hetmyer, Heinrich Klaasen and Colin De Grandhomme coming in the list. This certainly makes them one of the best teams in the IPL tourney but they still have to deliver it on the pitch with all the consistency around during the match.

Biggest Weaknesses

Inconsistent performances

Even though this team has been a fan favorite along with the best batting line up within all the IPL teams, they have lacked consistency in their past performances and that can certainly be the biggest reason behind their inability to win an IPL title in the past 10 seasons. Apart from their batting, even their bowling has been quite inconsistent across all these seasons. So we can say that while their batting and bowling hasn’t been clicking for quite some time now, they really have to do something special on a continuous basis to bring back that lost smile on their fan’s faces.

Too much experimentation with the squad

RCB has been one of the only teams which have done too much experimentation with their squad almost every match due to their bad run in the IPL matches so far. This can be the biggest reason why their squad has not been able to stabilize in the due time in order to bring on some good performances on a given day. They have changed their squad, brought new faces, recruited fresh names but still haven’t been able to find the right combination for their team to bring the IPL title home. That’s where Virat and ABD have come out with that extra pressure on their shoulders and this has impacted their performances in some of the matches as well.

8. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)

Players which have been Retained: Basil Thampi, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Deepak Hooda, Manish Pandey, T Natarajan, Ricky Bhui, Sandeep Sharma, Siddarth Kaul, Shreevats Goswami (wk), Khaleel Ahmed, Yusuf Pathan, Billy Stanlake, David Warner, Kane Williamson, Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi, Shakib Al Hasan

Players which have been bought: Jonny Bairstow (Rs 2.20 crore), Wriddhiman Saha (Rs 1.2 crore), Martin Guptill (Rs 1 crore)

Biggest Strengths

Captain Kane

It was only after SRH’s regular captain Kane Williamson has been axed from the squad after he was banned from the International cricket over the infamous “ sandpaper gate” saga, Kane Williamson has been that one man, who has driven the team on his shoulders with the utmost excellence in the past season. Not only he was amongst the highest run scorers in the whole tournament, but he has also come over as their key batsman almost every single time in the process. This year as well, all their major hopes would be on Kane and although Warner is expected to make a comeback after his suspension period would be getting over on March 29, it is quite a possibility that Williamson would be keeping the role of captaincy in the side.

Best bowling outfit

There isn’t much dispute about the fact that SRH simply holds the best bowling outfit amongst all the other franchises in the IPL and whilst their bowling unit consists of names like Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Billy Stanlake, Rashid Khan, Siddarth Kaul, and Shakib al Hasan, there are no second thoughts about the same fact. Moreover, their bowling unit has been amongst the top wicket-takers in the past season and that is something which ultimately speaks the story about their success in the past few years.

Biggest Weakness

Too much dependency on Kane Williamson

Even though SRH did feature in the finals of the last year’s IPL, they have paid the price for their overdependence on Kane Williamson quite a number of times and they must thank their bowling unit which has made them rescued from almost every situation in the process. Still the team has to find an alternative to Kane Williamson in case he needs to leave for his national duties in the wake of world cup 2019 in England and as Shikhar Dhawan has left the team to follow his aspiration in Delhi Capitals, they can seriously play for Warner to rise up for the occasion in his absence.

Middle order worries

SRH did hold all the firepower on the top of their batting order but their middle order is still a big worry for them in the IPL. Yusuf Pathan is quite inconsistent and even Shakib al Hasan and Manish Pandey have been going through a rough patch since the past season and this is something which the SRH team has to look at with immediate effect.

Teams with the Best Odds of Winning the Vivo IPL 2019

  1. CSK (Chennai super kings)

Once again the defending champion would be looking on to repeat their excellence on the cricket pitch and with the type of quality they hold in both their batting and bowling along with the captaincy of MSD, they can be certainly quoted as the top favorites for winning the title once again. All their players have been in superb form and even captain Dhoni is going all guns blazing in the shorter format and with that said, all the CSK fans must be jubilant for the Vivo IPL 2019.

  1. Mumbai Indians

Mumbai Indians didn’t have their share of luck in the last season and they have lost some really close matches even after performing well on the pitch. Still, with the perfect combination they have been carrying in both batting and bowling outfit, we can surely give them the favorite tag for the upcoming season. Moreover, Yuvraj Singh has joined the team and whilst everyone is writing him off from cricket, he holds a chance to shut down all his critics whilst putting his nomination down for a probable world cup selection one last time.

  1. SRH (Sunrisers Hyderabad)

SRH is the team which has outdone almost every team last season before going down to the champions CSK last time and once again they will be all set to set a challenge against all the other teams in the IPL. Warner would be making a comeback and he will be there on top to support Kane Williamson with his batting skills and whilst they already pack a lot of firepower in their bowling department, they can only pray for some luck finally to grab the title this time.

Players to Watch Out in Vivo IPL 2019

  1. Yuvraj Singh ( MI)

Whilst everyone has counted Yuvi off, he will be there to prove a point for him and his fans around the country and millions of cricket fans would be praying for him to deliver for arguably, his final stint in the IPL cricket. Also, he would be itching to deliver some memorable performances before getting retired from all forms of cricket.

  1. MS Dhoni (CSK)

Just like Yuvraj, Dhoni is also been getting troubled by all his critics over his bad form in the T20 format and whilst he will be out there to captain his champion team from the past season, he will also be putting a point through over his individual performance.

  1. Ajinkya Rahane (RR)

A lot has been said and talked about the future of this seasoned cricketer in the Indian national team and whilst the selectors are still eying him for a world cup spot, he will surely be gearing up to make his mark with the white ball cricket.

  1. Rishabh Pant (DC)

As Dhoni would be making a sure hot entry into the wicket keeper’s role in the upcoming world cup, all eyes would be on this young talented player in order to see him ensuring his spot in the middle order for the Indian national team
