In a recent development, the New Zealand cricket board announced the return of Trent Boult and Kyle Jamieson for their upcoming tours. Both of them have been out of International cricket for over a year but with Boult appearing in Foreign T20 leagues.
He has been in fact successful during his time out in IPL 2023 and the recently concluded Major League Cricket. At MLC with the MI New york, Boult showcased his mettle and helped his team to clinch the inaugural edition. Furthermore, he finished as the Highest Wicket taker with 22 wickets in just 8 matches.
That was enough for the Kiwi Cricketin board to give Trent Boult another call-up, owing to the fact that he has been a crucial member for a long time before Central contract issues popped up. He is among a 15-man squad that will tour to England for a 4-match T20I and ODI series.
Kyle Jamieson on the other hand after a long injury lay-off, will return to action for New Zealand’s trip to UAE before they travel to Europe. Tom Latham will captain New Zealand in the absence of Kane Williamson, who is in rehabilitation after sustaining a horrific injury during the first IPL match of 2023.
