The Big Belgian moved to Inter Milan in the summer transfer window of 2019 after a period of disgruntle at Old Trafford. He lived his moments in the fixture against Paris St-Germain where he scored a brace and helped the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side to complete an astonishing comeback in Paris.
In a Global Soccer gala, held in Dubai, Romelu Lukaku said;
The period there had made me calmer. I don’t look at it in a negative way; it really helped me mentally to be ready and to grow as a player and as a person. I will never see it as a bad experience because it helped me be where I am today
“Clearly now that I’m at Inter there are benefits from what I learned in Manchester both from a sporting and non-sporting point of view.
“I prepared a lot and I am much calmer. In my head, there is much more serenity and composure.
“I am a person who when things are not going well, shows it through so much anger. I’m stronger after the Manchester United experience.”
The deal of parting the ways with the Big Belgian has yielded results for both parties. The prolific goalscorer is returning to his best form back and on the other hand, Manchester United have adopted a quick style of attack. For the Red Devils, Anthony Martial leads the line along with Marcus Rashford and Daniel James on the flanks. Along with these, Mason Greenwood, the young star is getting more playtime.
If Romelu Lukaku continues to score with the current pace, he can break his own track record of scoring most goals in his first stint at Inter. Can Romelu Lukaku find the way back to the top? Only time will tell.
