Iyer became the second highest run getter in the tournament trailing behind Rachin Ravindra.

” I am over the moon to be honest, Its pretty hard to sum this up in words. This has been my first ICC trophy, and I am overwhelmed by it, Kudos to each and everyone in our dressing room and the way we have turned up for the tournament is simply overwhelming” Iyer said after post match press conference.

“To be honest I love to bat under pressure, and I thrive under pressure and likely to take up the challenge, but if you can contribute towards victory its enough motivation for me to do well for India so I am truly happy” he added.
