Coaching bug found in Valorant customs
The head coach of the TSM FTX Academy Valorant team, Theodor “in0X” Bjornsson, discovered a bug in Valorant Coaching yesterday that displays the location of the opposing team on the minimap.
He posted a video of the squad participating in a scrim in which you can see the yellow spots blinking, which represent the enemies’ positioning indicators. You can see from the video that the yellow indications are fairly accurate and have the power to sabotage the fairness of the competition.
Although restarting the game fixes the bug, for the time being, it has frequently happened in scrims and actual matches. There is currently no indication of how the bug is caused. During the VCT, Ian Harding V1’s Coach also encountered a different variation of the glitch, but it only affected enemies that the team could see.

According to George Geddes, this virus has affected a lot of coaches in EMEA and NA.
The most recent incident included Josh “JoshRT” Lee and the coaching bug during the VCT Playoffs, where NRG faced Faze Clan in the Lower bracket semifinals. He informed Riot right away, who then asked him to restart the game so that the contest could continue.
Josh also noted that a solution for the problem is being developed by the Riot team. No clue as to why or how someone can encounter the problem exists. Even so, it has been around for a while. The first incident was reported by the coach of the Akrew team, Salah, who encountered it during both of the official matches but immediately reported it.
Riot is unable to look at the coaching problem and whether the coaches used it at lower-level competitions because Valorant lacks a replay system. Riot is now working to remedy it, and the presence of Referees at the most important stages of tournaments ensures that nothing of the sort occurs.
